Perth hosts first Open House event this weekend!

Perth is this weekend opening its doors to the city, giving all citizens a chance to explore and engage directly with their built environment like never before! The 2012 building program includes an exciting range of residential, commercial, hospitality, civic and performance spaces ranging from the early 20th century to recently completed contemporary projects. A number of sites will promote a better understanding of contemporary and sustainable design within the city by showcasing a cross section of world class projects on a local, national and international stage.

The public will be given opportunities to gain a better understanding of high quality design with a wide ranging program of destinations, events, talks, competitions and exhibitions that celebrate Perth over the weekend.
Since the Open House London Weekend event in September, Victoria Thornton, Founding director of Open-City and Open House has been visiting a number of inaugural Open House cities through out the season including Lisbon, Limerick, Brisbane and Perth with the final Open House event of the season taking place in Thessaloniki.
