Open House Santiago kicks off the new year

The fifth edition of Open House in Santiago is back as a 10-day long hybrid festival. Over 70 guided tours led by architects, photographers, historians, and civic leaders will be offered in person, including the memory site of Estadio Nacional, a stadium with a dark history in Ñuñoa; ARyS by José Domingo Peñafiel, an active sustainable building designed with passive energy strategies; and the wetlands of the Río Mapocho. There is also a great selection of online programmes, including an accessible urban guide to Santiago; 360º virtual tours; and a new season of Causa Común, a podcast series exploring the role of local citizens play in city-making.
