If it seems that the terms heritage and future in the architectural sense do not belong in the same sentence, the Open House Zagreb Festival invites you to find a creative answer together. The third edition, themed Heritage for the Future, welcomes visitors to discover 41 locations across the Croatian capital over three days. The programme examines what happens when the static nature of heritage meets the dynamism of new constructions, encouraging reflection on the city’s values and the role of its citizens in shaping them through a series of lectures, themed tours, and exchanges with architects and construction experts.

This year, Open House Chicago introduces 30 new sites to its programme. Highlights include Electrical Audio, the renowned recording studio founded by the late sound engineer Steve Albini; Hilliard Tower Apartments, Bertrand Goldberg’s nautical-inspired residential complex; the Chicago Magic Lounge in Chinatown, a former laundry transformed into a theatre dedicated to live magic; Four Star Mushrooms, a state-of-the-art indoor farm cultivating gourmet mushrooms; and The Checkout, a former convenience store reimagined as an intimate chamber music venue.

Open House Querétaro celebrates its third edition, inviting the public to rediscover the city through architecture and urban design. More than fifty historic and contemporary sites will open their doors, offering guided tours of public and private buildings, as well as walking and cycling routes. The festival promises new opportunities for architects, students, and the public to experience, discuss, and share the richness of Queretaro’s built heritage.
