Visit Ibadan in Nigeria, tour Melbourne virtually and more

OPEN HOUSE MELBOURNE
23-27 JULY 2021

Open House Melbourne virtual tours, talks, films, and events inspire and provoke discussion around the future of the city and its suburbs and how design can shape the public good. As the region continues to grapple with the impact of COVID-19, the fully digital festival invites us to reconsider the way we will occupy the city and envisage new ways of designing and adapting buildings and infrastructure.

AD ICONOS!

Dive into the life and work of great masters of architecture and design with AD ICONOS! a new podcast series in Spanish produced by Architectural Digest España. Co-curated by Paloma Gómez Marín, director of Open House Madrid, each episode focuses on a character whose work and ideas were ahead of their time and continues to inspire designers today. The first three episodes discuss Rafael Guastavino, Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand.

INVISIBLE ARCHITECTURE - STRANGE TALES OF TRUE FANTASY ARCHITECTURE

Inspired by Invisible Cities—the 1972 novel written by Italo Calvino that describes 55 fictitious cities through prose poems—Invisible Architecture is a podcast series in Italian by Open House Rome. Each episode transports listers inside architectural spaces for an evocative story about the fantastical project and reflects on one of Cavino's ideas for how we should live in cities. Projects explored include the Tree House at Casa Alberto by Giuseppe Perugini, Uga De Plaisant and Raynaldo Perugini, Katsura's Imperial Villa in Kyoto, and the Kunsthal of Rotterdam by OMA.
