Open House Miami, Colombo, San Diego, Murcia, and Mexico City kick off the 2026 calendar

This year’s programme features a dynamic mix of more than 100 experiences highlighting Miami’s rich past and vibrant future. The guided tour of the historic Freedom Tower offers a deeper look into one of the city’s most significant landmarks. In Opa-locka, a panel exploring Greater Miami’s history will spotlight neighborhoods celebrating their centennial. Attendees can also discover Coral Gables through a curated bike tour, engage in hands-on creative workshops such as a sip and paint of the city's skyline or the iconic Art Deco façade of the Surfcomber Miami Beach.

This edition of Open House Colombo is a celebration of the city’s vibrant creative population. With the theme of Makers’ Spaces and Other Places, visitors are invited to step into studios, gallery spaces, and architectural gems rarely open to the public.
Festival participants will be treated to a broad cross-section of workshops and studios across the city, including established and emerging architectural practices, artists' studios, and home-based practices.

Open House San Diego offers special access to remarkable architecture and public spaces across five vibrant neighborhoods. Explore East Village, Civic Center, Little Italy, Bankers Hill, and North Park, through guided and self-guided tours that bring the city’s creativity to life. Don't miss 800 Broadway, a striking new 40-story residential tower redefining downtown living. LEED Gold certified and home to the city's highest rooftop pool and sky lounge (480 feet in the air!), this site offers jaw-dropping 360° views of San Diego.

Following the success of its first edition, this year's festival aims to further consolidate Murcia as an active participant in the international architecture scene, promoting local talent while connecting the city to a global network of design and culture. Some of the highlights include: Studio Ganga Tattoo, a bold and immersive creative space where tattoo artistry meets interior architecture; Clínica Muñoz, a healthcare space designed to enhance wellbeing through architecture; and Profusa Headquarters, showcasing contemporary workplace design focused on innovation, collaboration and brand identity.

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO

Open House CDMX 2026 will address urgent topics such as resilience in the face of climate
change, housing and social equity, the integration of nature into the city, mobility, sports infrastructure and public space, as well as the use of materials and technological innovations.
Some of the highlights of the festival are: Bosque de Chapultepec and its new infrastructure; Casa Manuel Álvarez Bravo; Casa Ortega; Cineteca Nacional de México; Museo Diego Rivera Anahuacalli extension and much more.
